You don't have to tell me twice: the Turks & Caicos probably beats Minnesota this time of year
In the midst of a very serious afternoon, I received yet another press release but this one struck my attention. It said: "SEND WINTER PACKING!Escape to the top island in the Caribbean AND save 20% with winter specials."
Now, I've been visiting South Texas, where it's in the high seventies. Old Man Winter is back home in Connecticut, and rumor has it, global warming hasn't made this much of a winter anyway.
But all of that being said, I'm hep to try out this swanky beach "house" and of course, hit up the destination. Here's what the Beach House PR said:
"For the last five years, the Turks & Caicos was named the Caribbean’s leading beach destination by the World Travel Awards, and there is no better base for exploring this stunning island than Beach House and Blue Haven Resorts, two properties part of the boutique Turks and Caicos Collection.
Blue Haven Resort is one of the newest luxury property on the island, and until mid April guests will enjoy 20% off regular rates. The hotel is located on a picturesque private beach where guests can relax on hammocks swaying among palm trees, sunbeds with umbrellas, and beach attendants serving tropical drinks. Its location adjacent to an IGY Marina provides guests with convenient access to world-class diving on the world’s third largest barrier reef, kite boarding, kayaking, SUP and a host of marine activities. In addition to saving 20% off regular rates in peak season, guests will receive full daily breakfast, Wifi, Sandpiper Kids Club, and a dining shuttle to sister properties on a complimentary basis. Blue Haven guests also may use Grace Bay beach facilities at sister property Beach House, which is located a short 15-minute drive away."
The Beach House Turks and Caicos is also offering 20% regular room rates. The property of 21 suites is located directly on Grace Bay Beach. Guests enjoy personalized service, picnics on the beach and "all the water sports or relaxation an island getaway offers". The resort treats guests to complimentary amenities that include daily breakfast, Wifi, non-motorized watersports, afternoon tea, homemade popsicles on the beach, nightly turn down treats and a dining shuttle to sister properties Blue Haven Resort and Alexandra Resort."
Again, you don't have to tell me twice. As fond as I am of South Texas and my mother's bamboo plants, I'd trade my cowgirl boots for a trip to Cockburn Town (the capital) orProvidenciales tomorrow. From the ridiculously clear turquoise coast to diving, to shopping, fishing and other water sports, why not book a flight? After all, it might be a fantastic time to dust off that passport.
You can book the Beach House or book Blue Haven and enjoy winter specials.
